I’m a writer living in Portland, Oregon. Articles have appeared in The New York Times, Sunset, Dwell, GOOD, Wallpaper*, VIA, The Architect’s Newspaper, 7×7, FRAME, Domino, ReadyMade, Blueprint, and This Old House magazines. Online I have written for Dwell, Apartment Therapy, Williams-Sonoma, Build a Better Burb, and Remodelista.
I’m a book editor. I work with Girl Friday, the Seattle-based editing firm, and I’ve had experience editing books of all kinds, including cyber thrillers, historical romances, and personal memoirs. I’ve also helped edit and write various nonfiction books, including Vitamin Green (Phaidon, May 2012), Becoming a Green Building Professional (Wiley, July 2012), and The Flower Chef (Grand Central, Spring 2016). Before all that, I was an editor at Dwell magazine.
I’m also a copywriter and content strategist for small to midsize architecture, design, art, and editorial firms, and I’ve worked with individuals, local firms, and national corporations on digital and print collateral.
My MA is from UC Berkeley, and my BA is from Rice University.
